Hi Frances, I’m teaching the Expressive Drawing workshop held on August 15 & 16 at the Club. If you are a beginner, this would be a great workshop to start off with–you’ll have the opportunity to build some confidence and learn basic drawing skills, hence you’ll feel very comfortable when you move on into painting and some of the other workshops. I hope you decide to give it a try, as Ella suggested, please feel free to email if you have any questions. You can also check out my blog to see some of my teaching materials and classroom handouts, http://kullaf.wordpress.com

    best, Anne

    Hi Frances,
I will be teaching the Pastel workshop in November where we will be exploring a variety of different surfaces on which to paint. It is a perfect workshop for all levels, from beginner to advanced, because I focus on making painting more exciting for each individual at each level. Creating what we paint on as well as what we are painting is all part of the fun. I believe in relaxed and fun environments where students not only learn from me, but from each other. I’m sure you will have a great time while learning everything from novice to expert techniques.

    Chris

    Hi Ellen,

My workshop Expressive Drawing is being held on August 15 & 16. It is a 2-day workshop, so you could probably store your supplies in the studio overnight for the second day. If you would like more information, feel free to call me at 908-797-2800 or email anne@kullaf.com

    best, Anne Kullaf

As one who is not able to spend long periods of time in NYC, your weekend workshop format works especially well for me.
I always gain something from working with different instructors as well as fellow students.

I found the drawing workshop with Anne Kullaf a great experience as well as an opportunity to meet other artists.

Thank you for developing this format for studying at Salmagundi.

I am giving the “Painting From Life” workshop and Demo on Oct. 24th & 25th. Students with little painting from life experience are also welcome and will benefit.
Concerning links to my web site, mistakes have been made in the spelling of my name. So if you wish to click on to my site, here it is:
and look at the section of my site called “Studies” which specifically relates to my two day workshop at the Club.
    Thanks, Max Ginsburg

Max, the links are all correct now. Sorry for that error!

  9. Kenneth Avens Says:

Dear Salmagundi Club, Can you tell me if you have accommodations at or near the club when taking a weekend Painting Course? Thanks, Ken

    1. ellayang Says:

No, we don’t offer accommodations, but there are hotels nearby.
